Piracy on the New Frontier

Overview

Battle enemies, complete missions, and barter goods in this retro space trading game inspired by "Taipan!" I composed two soundtracks for it, one using only the Microsoft Wavetable Synth (standard midi playback instruments). And the other with a Sega Genesis VST (Genny). These helped to evoke the nostalgia of 80s PC games and emulate the technical limitations of the era. I also made the game's sound effects by with audio I recored, synthesized, or otherwise had licensed myself.
